Our president Dera DeRoche-Jolet has been training her own central station operators for the last 30 years. In 1995, she was part of the Security Industry Association committee that created the indutry's first standardized training program, the SIA-APCO Central Stration Operator Instructor Course. She has been a national instructor for the course since it began.

In 2011, Central Station University signed an agreement to revise and further develop the
SIA-APCO Instructor and Operator courses. We are now the exclusive provider of these courses, and they serve as the core of our educational program.

Dera DeRoche-Jolet is the Owner and President of Central Station University. She is also the Owner and Chief Financial Officer of Alarm Monitoring Services, Inc, which she co-founded in 1980. While building AMS into a widely recognized and respected third-party security central station, Mrs. DeRoche-Jolet has developed a leaderership role in the security industry. She is certified as an instructor by the Electronic Security Association's National Training School and has been a national instructor for the Security Industry Association since 1995. From 2007 - 2011, she has served as a governor's appointee to Louisiana's Life Safety and Property Protection Advisory Board. She has been active in the Electronic Security Association and it's Louisiana chapter for over 20 years. Along with serving on and chairing countless industry panels, she has also represented the alarm and monitoring industry before the US Congress.

Our General Manager Sean Rockhold brings over a decade of experience as a project manager and executive assistant to CSU. Since 2002, he has managed projects at Alarm Monitoring Services ranging from information technology to government relations and has developed a wide knowledge of the security central station industry. Prior to joining AMS, Sean travelled to many of the cities where he now schedules training classes while managing merchandising for concert tours. He earned an MA in Political Science from the University of Washinton and a BA in Political Communication from the George Washington University. One of his primary projects will be working with regulatory offices across the country to ensure that our training programs enable central stations to meet state and local licensing requirements.
