Classes overview

Newly revised for 2011, the Operator Course can introduce new employees to a security central station or serve as an effective refresher for experienced operators. This is a 40 hour class and concludes with SIA's certification test.

Also revised to include updates to the Operator Course, the Instructor Course shows managers the specifics of teaching the Operator Course and provides a broad understanding of teaching adults and developing a comprehensive training program. The class features a heavy emphasis on gaining experience through practice and ensuring students leave ready to teach their own operators.

This NTS-approved course provides an introduction to business ethics with a specific focus on the codes of ethics adopted by the national life safety and security trade asociations. Students will learn the relationship between law and ethics, the value of ethics to their company and trade, and the distinct ethical considerations presented by different relationships.

This NTS-approved course shows alarm installers the essential steps they need to take after installation to ensure that the signals from their systems are properly transmitted and handled.
